A popular east coast organic grocery store is coming to the Chicago suburbs, with at least two stores set to open this year and next.
MOM’s Organic Market, described as the “Northeast Mid-Atlantic’s leading independent organic grocer,” will open stores in Naperville and Mount Prospect, according to a release from the company. The stores, which sell 100% organic produce, mark MOM’s first locations in the greater Chicago market.
“We’re thrilled to introduce MOM’s to this vibrant community and bring our organic offerings to the Midwest,” Scott Nash, Founder and CEO of MOM’s Organic Market said in the release. “These stores will reflect the same integrity, warmth, and Purpose that our customers have come to expect from MOM’s.”
In addition to high-quality organic produce, the grocer, with stores in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C., also offers “curated local products,” the release said. The stores are built with sustainability initiatives, include using renewable energy, electronic recycling drives and more.
“Each new location will also feature products from local vendors and will partner with community environmental organizations to help clean up neighborhood waterways,” the release said.
The Mount Prospect store is expected to open in 2026, the release said. The Naperville store has an anticipated opening in 2027. It wasn’t immediately clear where in each suburb the stores were set to open.
