The morning after a Ukiah man was arrested for allegedly stealing taxi, a woman reported that the suspect had tried to steal her car while brandishing a knife that same day, the Ukiah Police Department reported. According to the UPD, Justin M. Hietala, 41, of Ukiah was arrested on June 24 for allegedly putting a knife to a taxi driver’s throat and threatening to kill him before stealing his car. That incident began around 9:50 a.m. in the 200 block of South Orchard Avenue. Around 9:30 a.m., a 339-year-old Ukiah woman reported that she was at McDonald’s, located about three blocks away on North Orchard Avenue, with her two children and  was parked at the business when “she was approached by a
