A precious little fawn that became trapped after falling into a window well was rescued by north suburban police and animal control, authorities said.
The rescue took place recently after a concerned Northbrook resident contacted police to report a fawn that “had found itself in a difficult spot after falling into a window well,” the Northbrook Police Department said in a post on social media on Wednesday.
Photos shared by the police department showed the fawn at the bottom of a window well that appeared to be at least five feet deep.
