ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Rochester Fire Department went to Charlotte Beach, after getting a report of a woman who threatened to commit suicide at the end of the pier, according to RFD.
The 40-year-old woman went into the water by the time first responders arrived, RFD says.
She was said to be partially conscious while in the water, as the United States Coast Guard also responded to the scene.
Firefighters pulled the woman from the water and she was treated for severe hypothermia, the report mentioned.
She was taken to a local hospital.
