Who left Celebrity Traitors? All murdered and banished contestants ...Middle East

News by : (Radio Times) -

There's just one more episodes to go in The Celebrity Traitors, and the odds are in anyone's favour with three Faithful and two Traitors remaining.

The roundtable took yet another turn as the group managed to banish a Faithful, clearly slightly misdirected after successfully getting rid of Traitor Jonathan Ross in the previous episode.

As we wait to find out, read on to learn who has been eliminated from the show so far and how.

Kate Garraway - BANISHED in episode 8

Talking about her experience in the game, Kate said: "It was more fun than I expected. It was more involving than I expected. It kind of gets in your head, and before you know it, you’re going through everything and over analysing.

"Everything was bigger and better than I expected. The thing that you really don't realise when you watch the show is that, of course, as a viewer, you have the wonderful advantage of knowing who the Traitors are."

Celia Imrie - 'MURDERED' in episode 8

On going out in such a dramatic fashion, Celia said: "I didn't know I was being murdered at the time, did I? I thought Mr Carr was trying to kiss me! The Treach....

"Anyway, the next morning was really horrible, and I hope they missed me at breakfast. I was having such good fun. It was like being made to go home in the middle of a marvellous party."

Jonathan Ross - BANISHED in episode 7

"I thought I'd be happy to be a Traitor, but I actually found it really hard just lying to people but that is what makes it such compelling viewing," he said.

"Around the second day I began to think 'oh, I really wish I'd said I'd like to be a Faithful.'"

Lucy Beaumont - 'MURDERED' in episode 7

After she, Kate Garraway and Nick Mohammed were on the losing team and without protection, it was a choice of three for the Traitors, but they ultimately went for Lucy.

She said: "It felt like a bit of a gift to finally find out who the Traitors are. It's been driving me insane. Shame I can't then go back into the game and solve it! I was so surprised about Cat [Burns], I just couldn’t believe it."

Stephen Fry - BANISHED in episode 6

After narrowly avoiding being murdered by the Traitors the night before, Sir Stephen Fry was yet another Faithful to be banished at the round table after his fellow contestants ran with the theory that one of the "big dogs" in the cast must be a Traitor. But, of course, they chose the wrong one.

"It’s frustrating that the Traitors have done so well and there is no technique. Of course, we fool ourselves, which is unbelievably stupid, because you have to accept the fact that human beings cannot read lies and that human beings are brilliant dissemblers and pretenders, and there's no way of telling."

On whether he was happy to have been a Faithful, he said: "If I were a Traitor, I don't think I could have taken the pressure that is coming now. I probably would have enjoyed what they're enjoying now, the chuckling, cackling, glee of triumph."

Joe Wilkinson - 'MURDERED' in episode 6

Sadly, funny man Joe Wilkinson was the next victim of the Traitors after they mutually agreed that he was just too smart to keep around and would soon cotton onto them.

The comedian also remarked he would have liked to have been a Traitor: "I really wanted to see the turret. I wasn't initially happy to be a Faithful because of not seeing the turret, but after an hour or so, I thought, sod all that lying stuff."

He concluded: "I might be repeating myself but I wanted to see inside the turret."

Mark Bonnar - BANISHED in episode 6

Mark Bonnar was banished from the castle after the round table at the end of episode 5, with the results shown at the beginning of episode 6. His fellow contestants voted for Mark after perceiving his enthusiasm for the show as a way of overcompensating.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Mark said: "It was a lot more fun than I expected which is really nice. I thought it would be quite intense, which it was, but I didn't bank on the Missions being quite as much fun as they were. I would happily do that every day for the rest of my life.

Mark added: "I was happy to be Faithful. I would have played it slightly differently with hindsight; not being quite so involved, not being quite so enthusiastic, wide eyed and forthcoming with theories.

"Claudia said, ‘you know, remember, keep your eyes open at all times,’ or something like that. I was certainly doing that in observing everyone, not sure I was subtle enough about that which possibly put a massive target on my back!"

Charlotte Church - 'MURDERED' in episode 5

It was a tough decision for the Traitors to decide who would be their next victim, with the trip suggesting either Kate Garraway, David Olusoga or Charlotte Church to be the next Faithful to leave the game.

Describing her Celebrity Traitors experience, Charlotte said: "It was way more intense than I expected. It has restored my faith in celebrities a little because, generally, I just really keep out of that whole celebrity scene, and I have perhaps been a little bit too harsh in my judgement of celebrities.

"It was wonderful to spend time with some really very interesting people.  I think that's been my favourite part of the experience. Genuinely, to just be in the company of some extraordinary people with extraordinary stories and minds was the best bit."

Clare Balding - BANISHED in episode 4

Clare Balding became the third person to be banished at the round table during episode 4 of The Celebrity Traitors following suspicions of her potentially sabotaging an earlier challenge in episode 1 after she accidentally locked in an incorrect answer.

Clare added: "I totally wanted to be a Faithful, yes, and I loved that role. I wish I'd had longer at it. I made a big error in suddenly thinking that I had a strategy the morning of my demise. I thought, I know what I'll do. I've got to stay alive as well as identify the Traitors. So, the best way to stay alive is to get close to a Traitor and have them as your friend."

Summarising what her highlight of filming in the Scottish Highlands was, Clare said without a shadow of a doubt: "Celia farting! That was so funny." I think we can all agree on that one!

Ruth Codd - 'MURDERED' in episode 4

Ruth Codd was murdered at the start of episode 4 after the previous instalment concluded with the Traitors discussing in the turret that she was "the only sensible choice" as the next victim.

"I was ready and determined to always voice my opinion. I knew it was probably going to get me murdered, but the guilt after Niko left made me think that I’m not going to go through the rest of the game feeling like this. I played honestly, true to my opinions and leave with no regrets," she said.

She also expressed how grateful she was to have met the likes of Charlotte Church, Celia Imrie and Clare Balding, saying of the latter: "I kind of look like her goth child that should be a disappointment, but she's incredibly proud of!" Thankfully for the duo, they don't have to survive the show without each other as Clare Balding was banished at the round table in the same episode.

Tameka Empson - BANISHED in episode 3

Tameka Empson was banished from the Round Table in episode 3 after her fellow contestants wrongly accused her of being a Traitor.

She added: "Anyway, that feeling as you drive up to the castle. It’s amazing when you watch it on TV, but in real life, it takes your breath away actually being there. And the breakfast table is everything that it was, you know, that's a highlight. The breakfast is good. I tell you, the food was very lovely, and I think I might have put on a few little…let’s say one pound."

Tom Daley - 'MURDERED' in episode 3

Tom Daley's time in the castle was cut short after he was murdered by the Traitors in episode 3.

He continued: "I have had so much fun in there. Being able to just be with that group of people was so much fun, being able to have conversations with some really interesting people. I was having a great time."

"They could have murdered someone that they know would never have gotten banished at the Round Table. Maybe they thought of me as a threat. Maybe I was getting too close to the right answers."

Niko Omilana - BANISHED in episode 3

Niko was the first Faithful banished at the Round Table.

Speaking about whether he was happy to be a Faithful, he added: "I wasn't happy at all to be a Faithful. I really wanted to be a Traitor, badly. I mean, these things happen, and I was ready for it. I had a good game plan in mind but just didn’t get a chance to see it through really.

Talking about what's been a highlight for him, he added: "Meeting Claudia was a good highlight. That was nice. Being a big fan of the show, it was nice to meet Claudia. It was actually great meeting everyone. I have to say everyone was really nice…until the Round Table and then it all changed!"

Paloma Faith - 'MURDERED' in episode 2

Poor Paloma Faith's time in the castle was cut abruptly short after the Traitors 'murdered' her, making Paloma the show's first victim.

"I knew that I couldn't fade into the background. I'm the sort of person that lets my feelings about people be known by talking a lot, so it was never an option for me to be able to quietly just simmer under the surface.
