Damascus, Nov. 8 (SANA) Syria expressed its condolences and solidarity with Egypt on Sunday following a deadly accident in the al-Ayyat district of Giza province that left several people dead and injured.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates extended its sincere condolences to the Egyptian government and people, as well as to the families of the victims of the accident, which occurred on the Cairo–Aswan agricultural road.
The ministry reaffirmed Syria’s full solidarity with Egypt during this difficult time, expressing sympathy for the victims’ families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.Seven people were killed and more than 100 injured when two trains collided south of the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The crash occurred in al-Ayyat district in Giza province, about 30 miles south of Cairo, when a train travelling to Fayoum province crashed into the rear of a train heading to the southern province of Aswan, according to the transport ministry.
