Highlighting night four of Y-Nationals was Maddex Ternes who won two events on the evening. Ternes kicked off the session with a win in the 200 IM.

    Ternes touched in a 1:47.81, dropping 0.63 seconds from his previous best 1:48.44 that he swam for 6th at Y-Nationals a year ago. Ternes is committed to Georgia for this fall.

    In addition to his individual win, he combined with teammates Owen Harmon, Jimmy Beeson, and Levi Smith for the win in the 400 medley relay. The Greater Spartanburg YMCA boys touched in a 3:16.01. Ternes dropped over a second off his lifetime best with a 49.30 lead off split. Beeson had a strong fly leg with a 46.08.

    UNCW commit Will Mahorney just missed breaking the 20 second mark in the 50 free as he won in a 20.02. That dropped 0.46 off his previous best 20.48 that he swam at Winter Juniors in December. He entered the season with a lifetime best 21.27 and has had a huge senior year.

    Will Charlton won the boys 500 free by almost three seconds as he touched in a 4:25.20. The Navy commit has a lifetime best 4:23.69 from February. Also earning wins was Pierce Hampleman who won the boys 500 free para event in a 5:38.01, and Bowen Toomey won the para 50 free in a 1:27.05.

    16 year old Claire Burns highlighted the girls side of the meet, dropping over a second en route to a win in the 200 IM. Burns touched in a 2:01.27 and entered the meet with a best time of a 2:02.56 that she swam for 3rd at this meet a year ago.

    The girls 50 free was a close race as Claire Roussakis earned the win in a 23.13, dropping 0.46 off her lifetime best. Maggie Dickinson was 2nd in a 23.16.

    After winning the 200 and 1000 freestyles already this week, Anne Dickinson won the 500 free in a 4:43.82. That was a second off her best time 4:42.89 that she swam in December at Winter Juniors. She was 3rd in the event a year ago in a 4:52.11 and has made huge strides during her senior year before she heads to Indiana this fall.

    Lakeland Hills Family YMCA girls won the 400 medley relay as Vicky Sluk, Alexia Davies, Serena Dickey, and Madison Kehoe combined for a 3:40.67. Sluk was out in a 54.70, only 0.01 off her new personal best 54.69 that she swam for 9th earlier in the meet. Davies had a huge breaststroke leg with a 1:00.99 to put the team in front.
