If anyone knows a pancake, it’s Olin Kreutz!
The six-time Pro Bowl center, who played 13 seasons for the Chicago Bears, posted this epic clip on X this morning of Jonah Jackson burying Browns’ rookie defensive tackle Mason Graham on a trap block from Sunday’s 31-3 win over Cleveland.

It’s probably because I was an offensive lineman, but there’s nothing like a big ol’ pancake block, and usually a trap play is a great way to pick one up. Browns defensive lineman Mason Graham did a nice job getting off the ball, slants inside, thinks he’s got a run on the ballcarrier, and…WHAM! Down he goes. Jonah Jackson gets great pad level, runs his feet through the block, and buries the top-five pick into the turf.

I think it’s about time, too, to give Jonah Jackson some credit for the season he is putting together. After an awful opening night against the Vikings, he has turned his season around in a big way. He now ranks 12th overall on PFF among all guards this season (Joe Thuney is ninth) with a grade of 74.5 for the year.

The Bears took a risk by trading for and extending Jonah Jackson this past offseason. Jackson had just one Pro Bowl season while playing in Ben Johnson’s scheme back in 2021 and was coming off a down year with the Los Angeles Rams in 2024. But it looks like taking that risk is paying off in a big way. The 28-year-old lineman been a huge part of the offensive line’s success. I love seeing him succeed, and he is playing with that aggression and violence that offensive linemen need to stand out in the NFL.
