World Aquatics World Cup #2 – Tashkent
October 8-10, 2026 Tashkent, Uzbekistan SCM (25 meters) Meet Central Results Psych Sheets How To Watch Recaps Prelims: Day 1 | Finals: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3The Tashkent stop of the 2026 Swimming World Cup wrapped up today, and we have updated prize money totals after two stops.
After the first stop, Egor Kornev and Marrit Steenbergen led the overall totals after Steenbergen earned the top spot in the rankings and Kornev topped the rankings and matched a world record.

Each athlete earns a number of points for each swim. First, they are awarded points based on their event finish, which are as follows:
Position 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th Points 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1Those points are then added to the points awarded based on an athlete’s AQUA total. A swim worth 999-990 points will be worth 9.9 points. An 989-980 point swim will be worth 9.8 points, etc.
There are three ways that athletes can earn additional prize money:
World Records: If an athlete breaks a world record, they will receive an additional $10,000. Triple Crown: If an athlete wins the same event at all three stops of the tour, they will receive an additional $10,000. If that athlete goes on to also win the event at the SC World Championships, they can earn an additional $15,000 prize in Beijing. “Crown Buster”: Just like last year, the crown buster is back. At the final stop of the series in Astana, Kazakhstan, any athlete that prevents a swimmer from winning a triple crown will earn a $2,500 award.Just like in Baku, only the world record bonus was available to be earned, and for the 2nd stop in a row, Egor Kornev picked up the extra $10,000 prize after he took down the men’s 50 fly world record on the final night. The next stop in Astana will see the option for Triple Crown and “Crown Buster” bonuses.

South Africa’s Pieter Coetze also broke a world record, in the men’s 50 backstroke, and his overall score of 58.7 points was higher than Kornev’s 57.4 points, which earned him the stop win and $22,000.
Marrit Steenbergen led the women’s totals again after she scored 58.5 points to come out ahead of China’s Yu Yiting, who scored 57.3 points for 2nd.
