Team Europe lived up to their promise of revelling in their Ryder Cup heroics by reportedly racking up a £230,000 bar bill.
Luke Donald’s men survived a dramatic comeback from Team USA to win 15-13 at Bethpage Black on Sunday.
It was the first time that the Europeans emerged victorious on American soil since 2012.
While Europe have retained the famous trophy for the first time since winning at Gleneagles in 2014.
In the aftermath of the famous win, Rory McIlroy, who suffered constant abuse from the American fans, was adamant he and his teammates would savour their success.
He declared that ‘we are going to celebrate like there’s no tomorrow’, and that’s exactly what they did in New York.
The players, as well as captain Donald, wasted no time in downing champagne on the course, with that resulting in a wild afterparty.

And according to The Sun, the Europeans splashed out an eye-watering £230k on booze in the Big Apple.
It has been claimed that a whopping 120 bottles of Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial champagne – worth £967 each – were ordered.
That works out to an incredible £116,109 for the lot, but that was only half of their bill.
An additional £74,053 was then forked out on 60 bottles of Moet MCII and 60 bottles of Moet Rose Champagnes.
Still not content with the amount of alcohol, a further £18k was spent on ten bottles of Belvedere Vodka.

It wasn’t just the players that indulged in the drinking, with Donald keen for the family of the European heroes to party alongside them.
A source told The Sun: “It was a unique opportunity and a unique moment to celebrate, as winning on American soil is such a great achievement for Team Europe.
“After a long weekend of tension and stress, the goal was to have them celebrate and enjoy some of the best drinks we could offer.”
The heavy session certainly had an effect on Irish star Shane Lowry, whose birdie putt on the 18th saw Europe retain the Ryder Cup.

“Then 2023 in Rome, I went a little too passive. So I want to find the sweet spot tonight.”
