RUSH, N.Y. — Crews battled a riding lawnmower fire in Rush on Wednesday. It happened just after 2 p.m. on Sylvan Knoll off Middle Road.
Rush Fire Department officials recommend that you clean and cool off your lawnmower before storing it in a shed or garage. They say in this case, the lawnmower was cooling outside after mowing. That prevented further damage.
