Brazil win 1-0 over England

In a thrilling match that had fans on the edge of their seats, Brazil emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over England. The game was a display of skill and determination from both teams, but it was Brazil who ultimately came out on top.

The lone goal of the match came in the second half, when Brazil's star forward found the back of the net with a powerful strike. The Brazilian team's defense held strong against England's relentless attacks, denying them any chance to equalize.

The match marks the first in charge for new Brazil head coach Dorival Júnior, who will be hoping to arrest a run of four games without a win for the South American giants.

A glamour game did not live up to its billing, but the excitement was provided by a weakened Selecao team. On a night when many a young England player hoped to take a make an indelible mark, the rookie to etch his name into history was instead Endrick, the 17-year-old who became the youngest scorer in a senior international at Wembley. For their rather more experienced manager, Dorival Junior, a 26th and most prestigious job brought an ideal start.

Both sides are struggling with a raft of injuries in this critical window for tuning up their options, but there will still be plenty of star power in North London.

Jude Bellingham also cramped up in the second half and was substituted minutes later, however, that one seemed to be a pre-arranged change to manage his minutes as Southgate also made two other subs.

Lucas Paqueta kept himself in the spotlight as he could have been sent off for two bookable offences and nearly gave his side the lead in the first half as he struck the post. Brazil started the match relatively slowly but grew in confidence towards the latter stages of the second half.

Both sides introduced their stars of the future in the latter stages, with Endrick sent on and Manchester United's 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo unleashed by Southgate for his international debut - but it was the boy from Brazil who decided it.

He dropped to his knees at full-time, overcome with the emotion of it all. An unforgettable night for him - but one England will have to learn lessons from if they are to play better against top-level opposition this summer.
