Creighton Bluejays vs. Oregon Ducks

The matchup between the Creighton Bluejays and the Oregon Ducks is sure to be a thrilling contest between two powerhouse college basketball teams. Both teams have a rich history of success and are known for their high-flying, fast-paced style of play.

The Bluejays, led by head coach Greg McDermott, are known for their sharp shooting and efficient offense. With star players like Marcus Zegarowski and Denzel Mahoney leading the way, Creighton is a force to be reckoned with on the court. The first half featured six ties and two lead changes as neither team was able to put together an extended scoring run. Just two days after scoring 40 points, Couisnard picked up two early fouls and was sent to the bench. He went to work after checking back in, scoring 15 points to lead all players in the first half. The Ducks led 32-30 with 1:46 to play in the opening stanza  before CU closed the half with trifectas from Scheierman and  Ashworth to take a 36-34 lead into the break. Kalkbrenner led CU with 12 points and seven rebounds at the break, while Alexander and Scheierman each added eight points and Green and Scheierman hauled in six rebounds. Creighton launched 23 three-pointers in the first half, making six, after shooting 10-of-17 from downtown in Thursday's win vs. Akron.

When all was said and done, Couisnard and Dante combined for 60 of Oregon's 73 total points and 28 of the team's 43 total rebounds.

"I made some coaching mistakes, and I'm going to have to live with that," Oregon coach Dana Altman said. "Because those two guys — everybody talks about the last couple weeks like that's the only time those two guys played. I mean, they've been playing their tails off all year. We've been riding them all year. So it was special to watch those two guys."

The Ducks also have an experienced head coach in Dana Altman, who is very familiar with seeing a second weekend of March Madness. He's made six Sweet 16s at Oregon, and just four other coaches in all of Division I have more Sweet 16 appearances with their current school. Oregon has made it to at least the Sweet 16 in each of its last four NCAA Tournament appearances, and no Pac-12 program has more March Madness victories than Oregon's 15 since 2013.

On the other side, the Oregon Ducks, under head coach Dana Altman, are known for their tough defense and relentless energy. With players like Chris Duarte and LJ Figueroa leading the charge, Oregon is a formidable opponent for any team.

When these two teams face off, fans can expect an intense battle filled with highlight-reel plays and heart-stopping moments. It's sure to be a game that will go down in college basketball history.
