Isaac Litwiller of San Jose, California has announced his verbal commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of California, Berkeley. Litwiller flips his commitment to stay in-state after previously committing to Louisville.
Litwiller swims for Santa Clara Swim Club and Leland High School. He finished his long course season at Summer Juniors. There he was highlighted by a 12th place finish in the 50 free with a 23.29. He was slightly faster in prelims with a 23.21. He also made the ‘B’ final of the 100 free with a 51.09.
A week earlier he swam to numerous lifetime bests at U.S. Nationals. There he was 41st in the 100 free (50.43), 48th in the 50 back (26.46), and 59th in the 200 free (1:52.78).
Litwiller was a ‘B’ finalist in the 50 and 100 free at last December’s Winter Juniors-West as he was 12th in a 20.17 and 13th in a 44.13.

50 free: 20.04 100 free: 44.13 200 free: 1:36.46The Cal men captured the 2026 ACC title and went on to finish 7th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. Yamato Okadome led the team with wins in the 100 (49.90) and 200 (1:48.61) breaststrokes.
Based on his best times, Litwiller is not far off what it took to final at ACCs. It took a 19.46 in the 50 free, 42.67 in the 100 free, and a 1:34.69 in the 200 free at ACCs this past season. Cal had 13 men sub-20 in the 50 free this past season.
Litwiller will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2031 along with Colin Jacobs, Thi Rai, and Davis Jackson.
