2026 Texas Age Group Championships
July 23-26, 2026 College Station, TX LCM ResultsHadley Wheeler is setting the standard for 10 and under girls in the sprint backstroke events.
At the Texas Age Group Championships, Wheeler set personal bests in both events, clocking a time of 34.29 in the 50 back and 1:13.31 in the 100 back.
With those times, Wheeler moved up to 46th all-time in the girls’ 10 and under 100 back and is 1st in both the 50 and 100 back this season in the girls’ 10 and under age group.
Not only that, but Wheeler set personal bests in the 200 free (2:25.89), 400 free (5:07.66), 50 fly (32.57), 100 fly (1:12.62) and 200 IM (2:40.44).
In the girls’ 10 and under age group this season, Wheeler is 3rd in the 200 IM, 6th in the 400 free and 100 fly, 9th in the 200 free and 12th in the 50 fly.
Other individual standouts were:
In the girls’ competition, 9-year-old Ella Xu clocked a personal best time of 1:26.94 in the 100 breast, in the process moving to 10th in the girls’ 10 and under age group this season. On the boys’ side, 9-year-old Austin Ren had personal best times in the 100 breast (1:26.18), 200 IM (2:41.68) and the 50 fly (32.72). In the boys’ 10 and under age group this season, Ren is 13th in the 100 breast, 15th in the 200 IM and 17th in the 50 fly. Millie Juergens, 14, clocked a personal best time of 1:11.60 in the girls’ 100 breast and moved to 4th this season in the girls’ 13-14 age group. Abi Cowart, 13, swam personal bests in the 50 free (26.80), 200 free (2:06.83) 100 back (1:05.48) and the 200 IM (2:24.70). In the girls’ 13-14 age group, Coward is 14th in the 50 free this season. Also in the boys’ competition, 14-year-old Jacob Garcia Villar clocked a personal best time of 4:31.80 in the 400 IM, moving to 3rd this season in the boys’ 13-14 age group. Alex Kirsling, 13, swam personal bests in the 50 back (28.51) and 100 back (1:00.79) during the boys’ competition.Girls’ Team Standings — Top 5
