Jeremy Allen White has a new favorite Chicago restaurant.
The star of “The Bear” was recently asked by Food and Wine for his go-to Chicago restaurants during filming, and the actor noted three top spots.
While two of the spots were ones he has repeatedly mentioned in interviews, the third was a new callout.
“There’s like a spot I really need to mention,” he said on the red carpet, even racing over to co-star Ricky Staffieri mid-interview to remember the name.
He returned with a name.
“The V,” he said. “You gotta go to the V.”
The V stands for The Viaggio in Chicago.

The other restaurants named by White, who plays chef Carmy Berzatto on the highly acclaimed show, were Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf and La Scarola.
“Bavette’s, we’re at all the time,” he said. “La Scarola we were at all the time.”
White has mentioned the two Chicago hot spots before.
River North’s Bavette’s is no stranger to such reviews, having been named last year in a ranking of the world’s 101 best steak restaurants.
La Scarola, a famed Italian mainstay in the city, boats a long list of celebrity clientele, and has long been considered one of Guy Fieri’s favorites in Chicago as well.
The fifth and final season of “The Bear” is scheduled to be released starting June 25.
