Frances Taylor celebrated the grand opening of her boutique, featuring one-of-a-kind garments and outfits, at Grossmont Center on Feb. 12.
The event and opening also coincides with her sixth anniversary as a designer and wardrobe stylist.
The boutique was designed by Jasko Topalovic of TOPTILESONE, the contractor behind Versace at Fashion Valley and STK Downtown. For Taylor, Topalovic created a custom environment that reflects her creative vision, including a dedicated area for workshops and rotating pop-ups.
Each week, Taylor plans to invite different small businesses to showcase their work, highlighting San Diego artists and craftsmen.
Guests arrived with champagne and hors d’oeuvres while shopping inside the glamorous new space. During the evening, attendees gathered for a drawing featuring a gift box of curated items. The lucky winner was Ireland Ellwood.
Taylor is passionate about helping women express themselves through style and fashion. Her services include designing original pieces, reconstructing garments, and personal styling. Sustainability is also central to her brand, with a curated “pre-loved” section offering carefully selected second-hand clothing. Guests were excited about this part of the store, along with Taylor’s distinctive couture designs.
The celebration continued throughout the night as visitors stopped in to congratulate Taylor on this milestone in her life. The boutique is located next door to Macy’s and directly across from the Reading Cinemas at Grossmont Center.
