Auburn is expected to take yet another hit to its offensive line depth for the 2026 season with the transfer of offensive lineman Favour Edwin, according to an On3 report on Sunday night.
Justin Hokanson, who covers Auburn for On3, reported that Edwin is expected to hit the transfer portal after not seeing any game action in 2025.
It was the 2nd reported transfer portal defection along Auburn’s offensive line on Sunday alone, following Hokanson’s report earlier in the day that former 4-star prize DeAndre Carter is also expected to transfer.
If Edwin does transfer, he would leave Auburn without ever seeing any game action. In addition to not seeing any time this fall, Edwin did not see the field at all during his true freshman season in 2024. Now, it appears Edwin will hit the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2, seeking greener pastures just like Carter is reported to be doing.

— Justin Hokanson (@_JHokanson) December 14, 2025Auburn had to fight hard to bring Edwin to the Plains as part of its 2024 recruiting class, beating out SEC rivals Alabama and Florida for his services. Edwin was a late bloomer, not playing his first season of organized football until his senior year at Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Ga.
Edwin came a long way just to start that football career, since he’s originally from Nigeria, and it appears he’ll be traveling elsewhere again to continue his college career in 2026.
