Authorities in Orange County are looking for a teenager reported missing on Friday night just north of Chapel Hill.
The county government issued an OC Alert to residents shortly after 10 p.m. warning them of a 14-year-old Black female — whose name was not initially shared — reported missing. She was last seen in the areas of Eubanks Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The OC Alert message described the child as 5-foot-5, weighing around 160 pounds, and last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt with black pants.
The message told residents that search teams may be in the area looking for the missing teen. People who have outdoor animals are encouraged to secure the pets and remain alert, according to Orange County Authorities. Anyone who sees a child matching the description is encouraged to call 911.
