The Bulls will be without Coby White for the second consecutive night, which is less than ideal. It does sound, though, that he’s dealing with an illness in addition to the calf that’s been nagging him since the start of the season. We’ll likely see Ayo Dosumu in the starting lineup in his place again. Ayo has been really good this season and a certain bright spot for Billy Donovan’s team, but when he starts, the depth gets sacrificed, and the bench becomes not quite as productive. The Bulls’ depth will certainly be challenged again tonight with a lengthy injury report against a Magic team that’s playing much better than earlier this season when they first met. In their last 10 games, the Chicago Bulls own a 3-7 record while averaging over 120 points per game as a team and shooting 46% from the field. In that stretch, their opponents are averaging over 127 points per game. I mentioned it in the last pre-game, but the defense has just been ABYSMAL in this poor run. It’s going to have to get figured out, and fast, before the spiral gets out of control. After starting the season 1-4, the Magic are 11-4 since and are coming off a win against the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons. If we thought the Bulls ran into them at the right spot early on in the year, it couldn’t feel more opposite this time around. In addition to Franz Wagner being very good, Desmond Bane has been a really nice addition for Orlando and dropped 37 points in the win over Detroit.Injury Report
