A quartet from Nova of Virginia Aquatics cracked the 11-12 National Age Group Record in the 200 yard free relay last weekend at the NCSA Age Group Swimming Championships.

The relay of Harper Grace Johnson (12), Yara Tsybulina (12), Isobel Tran (12), and Adry Francis (11) combined for a 1:37.94. Francis, in spite of being the youngest member of the relay, had the fastest split on the anchor leg of 24.04.

The swim broke the old record of 1:38.32 that was set by the Schroeder YMCA in Wisconsin in 2018. That record was set by a quartet that included Campbell Stoll, who two weeks ago won an NCAA title in the 200 fly for Texas.

Nova of Virginia used the same quartet in the same order to also win the 400 free relay in 3:37.68, which crushed the old Meet Record of 3:40.48 from 2024. Tsybulina had the best split on that relay of 43.52.

Tsybulina also grabbed wins in the 200 IM (2:12.61) and 400 IM (4:38.46), both best times. She had nine best times in nine individual event entries at the meet.

Francis won the 50 free in a best time of 24.64.
