AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Several people were displaced and multiple apartment units were damaged in a fire at a northwest Austin apartment complex overnight.
The Austin Fire Department responded to the fire at the Bridgehead apartment complex on Shepherd Mountain Cove off North Loop 360, just south of RM 2222, shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
AFD said in a series of posts on X that firefighters initially responded to a fire on a balcony, then entered the apartment to check for fire extension and to evacuate residents.
