2025 Gwinnett County Swim League Championship
July 11-13, 2025 Georgia Tech University SCY ResultsIt was a record-setting meet for both Baylor Stanton and Hannah Claire Jowers during the Gwinnett County Swim League Championship at Georgia Tech University.
Stanton, a 17-year-old from Gwinnett Aquatics who has committed to Cal, broke LSC records in the 50 backstroke and the 50 freestyle during the boys’ competition of the short course meet.
In the 50 back, he broke his own record, clocking a time of 21.59 to beat his old record of 21.74. In the 50 free, Stanton finished with a time of 20.32, breaking the previous record of 20.34 set in 2016 by Eric Strickland.
Stanton also won the 100 free, coming in with a time of 44.51, swam an anchor leg of 19.79 in the 200 free relay and clocked a time of 21.83 leading off the 200 medley relay. He will finish out his high school career this coming school year at Brookwood High School.
Jowers also set two individual records in the girls’ competition. In the 50 breast, Jowers came in with a time of 29.24, which broke the record of 29.51 set back in 2011 by Allison Carr.
In the 50 fly, Carr came in with a time of 25.10, beating the record of 25.33 set by Haley McInerney in 2015. Jowers also won the 100 IM in a time of 57.74.
A senior at Parkview High School, Jowers has committed to swim in college at the University of Tampa.
From the team perspective, Flowers Crossing won the meet for a fourth year in a row, finishing with 4,226.33 points to claim the combined title.
Spalding Corners was 2nd with 3,789 points, while Chateau Elan (3,558), Rivermoore (2,702.50) and Evergreen Lakes (2,447) rounded out the top-five.
Organizers said roughly 1,200 swimmers competed at the meet this year.
