Culver City police officers — using automated license plate recognition — recovered two stolen vehicles over the weekend, police said Tuesday.
Officers received real-time alerts from the automated system on Saturday, the Culver City Police Department said. The first recovery happened on the 10700 block of Jefferson Boulevard near Overland Avenue, where police arrested the suspect.
The second arrest occurred two hours later near Sepulveda and Culver boulevards, police said. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the 4300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, where they arrested the driver for vehicle theft and a passenger for drug possession.
