CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man has been arrested following the alleged kidnapping of a baby in uptown Charlotte on Thursday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police announced. Edgar Enrique Segura-Jimenez, 34, has been charged with first-degree kidnapping. He was booked into the Mecklenburg County Jail Thursday afternoon without bond. According to CMPD's police report, the kidnapping occurred outdoors in the 400 block of South Tryon Street at 12:33 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1.
