Women’s MVP: Liberty Clark, Indiana
Clark began her night with a 21.43 lead off led for Indiana’s 200 free relay that went on to finish second. That was the fastest lead off leg.
She continued her night with three individual wins, touching first in the 100 free in a 46.29 to touch ahead of Cal’s Rylee Erisman who swam to a 46.69. Clark then went on to swim a 21.44 in the 50 free, finishing ahead of Erismann’s 21.66.
In the 200 free, Clark earned another win as she touched in a 1:43.34. That was almost two seconds ahead of Stanford’s Caroline Bricker who swam to a 1:45.24. Her sweep of the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles was a repeat of her wins during CSL Match #1 when she won in a 21.65, 46.60, and a 1:43.06.
Men’s MVP: Quintin McCarty, NC State
McCarty kicked off his night with a win in the 100 freestyle, touching in a 41.88. He was dominant in the race, flipping first at the 50. He won by 0.99 seconds ahead of 2nd place Lucca Battaglini who was 2nd in a 42.87.
The NC State fifth year earned a win in the 50 freestyle, touching in a 18.91. That was exactly half a second ahead of Cal’s Martin Wrede who was 2nd in a 19.41.
McCarty went on to swim the backstroke leg of the team’s 4×50 super skins relays that NC State won all four rounds of.
