The details of the concert series were announced Friday (July 24) during a press conference in Madrid, where Pino Sagliocco, president of Live Nation Spain, and Joao Alburquerque, architect from the BIG studio and one of the designers, shared the vision behind the venue. The temporary complex, spanning 185,000 square meters (4.2 acres), will be set up next to “Shakira Stadium,” which will have a capacity for 50,000 attendees per concert.

“It’s built like a tree where each branch leads to a different cultural experience, and all converge at Macondo Park,” Alburquerque explained while describing the design of the space inspired by Shakira’s creative universe. The idea, he noted, is for attendees to explore various experiences before reaching the stage.

For Sagliocco, the goal was never to create just a concert. “We want people to arrive early, explore the pavilions, eat and fully immerse themselves in the experience before and after the show,” he explained.

Shakira’s residency is scheduled for Sept. 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27 and 28 and Oct. 1, 2 and 3. Macondo Park will be open from noon to midnight local time, while Shakira’s shows are set to take place from 8:30 to 11 p.m. This way, attendees will have several hours to explore the space before and can remain there even after the show ends.

Macondo Plaza will be the starting point for exploring the eight pavilions that make up the experience. Organizers revealed that each pavilion will feature its own programming, the details of which will be announced later and updated throughout the residency. All activities will be included for attendees, regardless of the type of ticket purchased.

The residency will also offer two VIP options, Garden and Terrace, which will go on sale Monday (July 27) with prices ranging between 500 and 720 euros ($568 and $818). Both options will grant early access to the venue and the Front Stage, as well as an exclusive area to relax, eat and drink before the concert. Terrace will also include a panoramic area overlooking both the stage and the rest of the complex.

Sagliocco also revealed that organizers are considering opening Macondo Park Monday through Thursday to welcome school visits and host educational activities related to Latin American culture.

After a historic stadium tour, the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is currently in its second phase in the United States, this time visiting arenas. The tour, in support of the 2024 album of the same name, began in February 2025 in Rio de Janeiro and set a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour of all time by a Hispanic artist.
