The 6-foot-8 junior transfer was limited to just 14 games with the Sun Devils this season due to a back issue. He averaged 3.6 points (on 34.1% shooting) and grabbed 2.4 rebounds per game. Adams last appeared with ASU on Jan. 3 against Colorado.
Adams was a former-four star prospect from Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California, and had offers from several schools, including UCLA, Oregon, Syracuse and Tennessee before committing to Kansas out of high school. He later entered the transfer portal and transferred to Gonzaga before transferring to BYU prior to the 2023-24 season.
Adams appeared in one game for the Cougars before transferring to Cal State Northridge for his sophomore season. He averaged 16.1 points (on 52.6% shooting), with 4.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 32 games with the Matadors. During that season, Adams took home a pair of Big West Player of the Week awards and was also named to the All-Big West Second Team.
The transfer portal window in college basketball officially opens on April 7 and goes through April 21, but ASU players can enter it early due to former head coach Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils parting ways on March 11.
