A job fair next week in Greeley will provide career opportunities for Weld County youth and young adults.
The fair will run from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at the Island Grove Event Center, 501 N. 14th Ave. Admission is free.
Last year, 800 job-seekers attended the annual event.
The fair is designed specifically for people ages 14 to 24, allowing them to connect with local employers hiring for seasonal, part-time and full-time positions. Employers set to appear at the fair encompass a wide range of industries from health care and government to construction and nonprofit work.
Beyond meeting with businesses, attendees will have access to career resources, including resume assistance from employment professionals, free professional headshots and a selection of work-appropriate clothing to help prepare for interviews and the workplace.
“This event is a great opportunity for job seekers to get face-to-face with local businesses that want to hire young, motivated talent,” Weld County Youth Employment and Training Navigator Shelby Hatfield said in a news release. “We often hear from young adults who got their foot in the door after attending this job fair and now have summer jobs to return to every year.”
Job seekers should pre-register at ConnectingColorado.com, a statewide platform that links them with career opportunities. Pre-registration is not required, but it’s encouraged to save time for networking at the event.
