From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing by us for 50 incredible years of Donny & Marie. Here’s to many more moments together."
In the clip, Donny says to his sister, "You know, Marie, in every television series, there's one particular moment that you always look forward to right from the beginning, you know?" Marie asked him what was behind his back, and he showed her a pie.
"Are you gonna throw that pie at someone?" Marie asked. "How ordinary. Hitting a person with a pie is not your image. Why don't you go for a television first? Instead of hitting a person with a pie, why don't you hit a pie with a person?"
He replied, "How do you hit a pie with a person?" Marie answered, "I thought you'd never ask."
Right at that moment, Donny and Marie’s brothers, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay, grabbed their younger brother by the hands and feet and ran him straight toward a giant pie loaded with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Donny landed face-first into the huge dessert. When he tried to get out, telling his little sister "I'm gonna get you so bad," he slipped and fell into the huge whipped cream pile again.
