January 24, 2026 Doral Aquatic Center – Miami, FL SCY (25 yards) Results Final scores FGCU – 178, FIU – 121This year’s annual Florida Gulf Coast and Florida International matchup saw FGCU from the Gulf coast best FIU from the Atlantic coast 178 to 121, breaking the Panthers’ six-year winning streak which they held from 2019 to 2024 as last season’s dual meet was cancelled.
The Eagles won 11 events across the competition to secure the victory during the women’s only meet on Saturday, recording multiple podium sweeps as well.
FGCU claimed the top three spots in the 1000 free, led by Aislyn Barnett in 10:21.38. She was followed by teammates Lily Magda (10:27.40) in 2nd and Emmakate Zanoli (10:42.95) in 3rd, with Magda and Zanoli both logging season-best times.
Magda took charge for another podium sweep, this time in the 500 free; she raced into the wall in 5:07.11, posting the only sub-5:10 time of the day. Behind her, Jasmin Kroll took the runner-up spot in 5:10.58 while Zanoli touched 3rd in 5:12.86.
Barnett continued to shine throughout the meet, winning the 200 breast in 2:19.39 and snagging the runner-up spot in the 400 IM in 4:30.51.
The Eagles turned in a 1-2 finish in both the 200 free, with Kroll touching 1st in a season-best time of 1:51.33 and Nadia Helm taking 2nd in 1:53.75, and the 200 fly, which saw Nori Hetyei prevail in 2:06.42 while Nastia Tichy followed close behind in 2:07.34.
The Panthers put up a strong fight against FGCU, taking home the title in five individual events and logging 19 podium finishes.
Diana Santamaria grabbed the first victory of the day for FIU, prevailing in the 100 back with a time of 55.36. She also clocked a runner-up performance in the 100 free (51.88) and was a part of both of FIU’s 2nd-place relay squads, joining Oumy Diop, Tawannah McLemore and Frieda Stretre Løbersli on the 200 medley relay and Claudia Frasca, Carla Mailharrou and Pauline Zeller for the 400 free relay.
Zeller also turned in an individual victory for the Panthers, stopping the clock first in 54.88 to secure the win by over two seconds. Behind her were teammates Diop (57.10) and McLemore (57.23), delivering a podium sweep for FIU.
FIU’s Nicole Frank ran away with the title in the 400 IM, turning in a time of 4:28.41 to best FGCU’s Barnett by over two seconds.
Turning in another top performance for the Panthers was diver Kristina Keenan, who swept the diving events. She took the top spot on the 3-meter with a score of 310.43 points, marking the 7th-best performance in program history. Keenan also logged a winning score of 278.18 points on the 1-meter, a new personal best for her.

Both teams are back in action this coming weekend, with FGCU hosting North Florida on Friday, January 30th and Saturday, January 31st for its final dual meet of the season, while FIU heads to Boca Raton to take on Florida Atlantic on Saturday, January 31st.
