Blackhawks prospect and Minnesota-Duluth netminder Adam Gajan has been named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List, which is given annually to the top goalie in men’s NCAA Division I hockey.
This adds another strong moment to a really good, bounce-back year for Gajan. Last week, Gajan was named to the 2026 Slovakia Olympic Team. Right after Christmas, Gajan earned a silver medal in the 2025 Spengler Cup as part of the the U.S. Collegiate Selects team.
Gajan, 21, was originally a second-round pick (No. 35 overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Draft. He has a 1.98 goals against average, a 15-6-0 record and has posted two shutouts with the Bulldogs so far this season.
