“One program that has consistently expressed interest is Ole Miss,” according to Thamel’s report.
There is another twist in Thamel’s report, which said that Lagway “had a positive visit to Baylor earlier this week.” That would be the same Baylor program that supposedly got a commitment from Lagway on Thursday, according to a report by On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
But with Thamel’s report a day later, the Lagway sweepstakes might have just reopened, with Baylor not set in stone for Lagway, after all.

He had also visited Florida State during his transfer recruitment, so there was the possibility that Lagway would transfer to UF’s most bitter rival for the 2026 season.
A 5-star recruit, Lagway came to Florida with big-time expectations, but he left Gainesville only with questions about what he could do at the college level. And one day after that next stop seemed like Baylor, Lagway’s services are still reportedly up for grabs for the upcoming fall.
With Ole Miss’s sudden big question mark at the quarterback position, there could be a spot waiting for Lagway in Oxford.
