FILLMORE, Calif. (KEYT) – A 54-year-old Fillmore man was arrested for criminal threats and assault of a 64-year-old early Sunday morning.
On Aug. 30, around 1:57 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of A Street for an assault stated a press release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
Arriving deputies found a 64-year-old Fillmore man with head injuries and he was transported from the scene in an ambulance for further medical treatment at a local hospital detailed the local sheriff's office.
According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, investigators determined that a 54-year-old Fillmore man had assaulted the injured 64-year-old before fleeing the scene before the arrival of law enforcement.
Deputies later located the 54-year-old, found additional evidence linking him to the assault, and arrested him explained the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
The Fillmore man was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of criminal threats and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury added the local law enforcement agency.
