It’s Friday night in Chicago and the Blackhawks are wearing black. Love to see it! The Washington Capitals are in town for a game between two teams that played just six days ago. When the two teams played last weekend, the Blackhawks didn’t have Connor Bedard in the lineup. That will NOT be the case tonight!
After the Bulls’ game was postponed because of humidity issues last night, there were some concerns about the ice surface. The folks at the United Center are some of the best at what they do, and the Blackhawks told us on Friday morning that there are no issues with hockey taking place today. After the morning skate, the players and coaches were fine with the conditions.
One other note from the morning skate: Nick Foligno, Ilya Mikheyev and Arvid Söderblom weren’t on the ice this morning. And head coach Jeff Blashill was not, either. There’s a bug going around the Blackhawks right now. So the lineup below is guessing Foligno and Mikheyev aren’t available; they have not been ruled out yet, however.
