Public Input Sought For Tuolumne County’s Transit Planning

Sonora, CA — Planning is underway to help shape what transit services will look like in Tuolumne County over the next five years.

The Tuolumne County Transit Agency is developing both a Short-Range Transit Plan and a Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan. The two documents will guide improvements to bus routes, dial-a-ride services, and regional mobility programs.

They aim to prioritize transit investments and ensure equitable access for seniors, people with disabilities, those with limited mobility, and others.

TCTA is hoping that community members will weigh in via the 2025 Tuolumne County Transportation Survey that can be found here (ends November 21). An interactive Open House is also being planned for January that will provide information and allow for community feedback.

The final plans will help guide funding priorities, services, and capital projects through 2030.

The Tuolumne County Transit Agency operates four fixed-route bus lines, a Dial-A-Ride service, non-emergency medical transportation for seniors, a county-wide mileage reimbursement program, and seasonal transit services.
