Kimani Vidal (Chargers) was the highest-recommended RB waiver wire pickup this week.
Analysis
For at least the first week of the no-Omarion-Hampton era in Los Angeles, there was a clear backfield winner between Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins. Vidal, who looked an awful lot like Austin Ekeler out there in the No. 30 Chargers jersey, handled 18 of the 24 running back carries on 67.2% of the offensive snaps, along with 14 yards and a touchdown receiving on four targets. Best of all, Vidal was excellent running the ball, averaging 6.9 yards per carry with a 38-yarder.
While he may lose a goal-line carry or some short-yardage work to Haskins here and there, it looks like Vidal is the lead guy in Hampton’s absence, which is reportedly going to be longer than the minimum four weeks on IR. Potentially as many as six to eight weeks of LA’s RB1 is a must-add territory, so I’d recommend being aggressive in acquiring Vidal.
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Who are the best stashes from the Fantasy Football RB Rankings?
Zonovan Knight and Zavier Scott are the best running back stashes ahead of Week 7.
Zonovan Knight, RB – Cardinals (12%)
The Michael Carter-as-RB1 experience was quite short-lived. Instead, Zonovan Knight was listed atop the depth chart, and even though Carter received the first touches of the game, they both split the work right down the middle, with Knight being the one who found the end zone. Things get a little stickier when we consider that the Cardinals have their bye in Week 8, with a potential return for Trey Benson coming soon afterwards.
Regardless, Benson only has the **potential** to return; nothing is guaranteed. Knight or Carter could be plugged in for desperate managers as a spot-start, but the real matchup comes in Week 9, when they face a Cowboys run defense that has failed to stop anybody through six games.
Zavier Scott, RB – Vikings (1%)
Coming out of the bye week, it’s clear the Vikings are growing increasingly comfortable with Zavier Scott as part of their offensive rotation. His special teams role has continued to shrink, including being fully removed from the kickoff unit, which is a strong indicator that the coaching staff envisions him as more than a gadget or depth piece moving forward. While Scott did lose a fumble in Week 5 against the Browns, Jordan Mason also put one on the ground during the team’s opening drive, marking his second of the season.
Mason is still locked into the early-down and goal-line work, but Scott’s versatility and receiving chops still give him a viable path to more snaps. His 6-43-1 receiving line back in Week 4 showcased how he can contribute as a dynamic outlet when the passing game stalls. With a healthier offensive line and a softer stretch of defenses ahead, Minnesota could look to get its running backs more involved in the passing game. Scott is a deeper-league stash, but his skill set and growing trust within the offense make him worth keeping an eye on.
