Spectrum Aquatics Weekly Wonders of Age Group Swimming: 10/4/2025

    Savy Searle, 12, Pleasanton Seahawks (PC): Searle set a trio of best times at the Orinda Aquatics C/B/BB+ meet last weekend in Moraga, Calif., highlighted by her swim in the 100 free. The 12-year-old Pleasanton Seahawk put up a time of 53.76 to rank #1 in the girls’ 11-12 age group so far this season, taking down her previous best by one one-hundredth of a second. She also set new bests in the 100 back (1:04.96) and 100 fly (1:01.94), the latter ranking her 11th in the age group this season. She also clocked 25.46 in the 50 free and 5:18.91 in the 500 free, ranking her 3rd and 2nd in the age group this season, respectively, though they were shy of her PBs. Her sister Sage Searle was also in action at the meet, setting a PB in the 100 IM (1:02.87) while also earning wins in the girls’ 11-12 100 back (1:00.32), 100 fly (59.99) and 200 fly (2:14.46).

    Aiden Childs, 12, Southwest Stars Swim Club (FL): Childs fired off five personal bests at the Elizabeth Kazeck Fall Sprint last weekend in Orlando, shooting up the rankings in the boys’ 11-12 age group this season. Childs chipped two-tenths off his best time in the 50 free (23.58) to rank 3rd in the age group this season, while he knocked off big chunks of time to rank 2nd in the 100 free (50.84) and 50 fly (25.47), 3rd in the 100 back (58.43), and 4th in the 100 fly (57.58).

    Keilah Holliman, 13, Baylor Swim Club (SE): Holliman set five lifetime bests at the Fall Kickoff Classic Meet two weeks ago in Chattanooga, including a notable showing in the 50 freestyle. The Baylor Swim Club product brought her best time down from 24.38 to 24.20, ranking her 1st this season among 13-year-old girls. She also clocked a best time of 53.29 in the 100 free to rank 5th this season among 13-year-old girls, and added PBs in the 200 free (2:00.78), 100 back (1:00.16) and 200 breast (2:40.68).

    Sullivan Benes, 14, Desert Storm Swimming (CA): Benes established five lifetime bests at the Team Rebel SC Meet in Las Vegas two weeks ago, moving into the top spot in the boys’ 13-14 age group in three events. Benes set bests in the 200 free (1:41.77) and 1000 free (9:19.78) to rank 1st in the age group this season, and he also sits #1 in the 500 free (4:33.74), having set a best of 4:32.13 in January. The Desert Storm Swimming product also moves to 2nd this season in the 200 IM (1:55.65) and 3rd in both the 100 free (47.82) and 200 breast (2:10.55) among 13-14 boys.

    Addie Farrier, 9, Clearwater Aquatic Team (FL): Farrier set personal bests across the board at the Kiefer – Speedo Fall Invitational on September 19-21 in Saint Petersburg, cracking the top three in the girls’ 10 & under age group this season in five events despite still being nine. The Clearwater Aquatic Team product clocked 2:28.62  in the 200 IM to rank 1st this season among 10 & under girls, while she moves to 2nd in the 50 back (31.13) and 100 breast (1:19.81) and 3rd in the 50 fly (29.53) and 100 IM (1:09.04). She also set bests in the 100 back (1:09.40) and 50 free (27.85) to rank 5th and 6th, respectively, in the age group this season.
