Ange Postecoglou’s long-term future as Nottingham Forest boss is under threat, talkSPORT understands.
The Australian has failed to win any of his six games in charge at the City Ground.
A 3-2 Europa League loss at home to Danish outfit FC Midtjylland on Thursday was the latest in the club’s alarming run of form.
The defeat sparked a chorus of boos from Forest supporters while chants of ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ broke out.
And when contacted by talkSPORT, Forest sources were reluctant to provide any reassurances over Postecoglou’s long-term future.
Postecoglou was appointed just last month on a contract through to 2027 as he replaced the popular Nuno Espirito Santo.
The tasks don’t get any easier for Postecoglou in his bid to snap the drought as his side travel to St James’ Park for a clash against Newcastle on Sunday.
Newcastle go into the fixture on the back of a dominant 4-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League.
What is Postecoglou’s record since taking over?
With the Magpies in fine goalscoring form, Postecoglou must find a way to plug a leaky backline.
Since Postecoglou’s first game in charge, a 3-0 defeat away to Arsenal, no Premier League team has shipped more than the 12 goals Forest have conceded across all competitions.
