Windsor is launching a leaf and branch drop pilot program beginning in October at the Windsor Public Services Campus.
The program will begin Oct. 13 immediately following the Fall Clean-Up event and will run through Nov. 15, according to a town of Windsor news release. The program will take leaves and branches 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
A one-time rebate application will be available online or at the Windsor Public Services Campus for reimbursement.
Car, SUV and pick-up truck loads cost $10, single-axle trailers cost $15, tandem-axle trailers cost $20 and vehicle-trailer combinations cost $25 or $30, according to the release.
Participants must bring a driver’s license with a Windsor address or a Windsor water utility bill to prove they are Windsor residents.
Leaves and branches must be separated and no bags will be accepted. Residents must empty their own loads in designated roll-off bins or pile locations. Final loads will be accepted 30 minutes before closing, according to the release.
