GREELEY — Aims Community College is offering a new cloud systems administration certificate program to respond to industry demand, administrators said in a press statement.
The program is meant to prepare graduates for roles such as cloud engineer, administrator, IT analyst and systems support specialist.
Zachary Smith, a computer information systems instructor at Aims, said in the statement that the certificate “opens doors for students who want to work in IT or other industries requiring cloud expertise. Nearly every industry today relies on cloud technology.”
The “cloud” is the term used to describe the networks of computers kept at data centers. Cloud-based computer systems use the internet to store data and programs. It generally replaces the need for individual computer servers.
Aims is a two-year college accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
