The wantaway striker is determined to force through a transfer to Liverpool and is willing to do whatever it takes.
The 25-year-old has been banished from Eddie Howe’s first team squad and it is believed he has no intentions to reintegrate himself.
Newcastle’s position is they do not want to sell the striker, but they have been exploring potential replacements.
They missed out on Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United, while Nicolas Jackson remains of interest.
Liverpool saw a £110m bid turned down earlier this summer and have not returned with a second offer.
