Tony Bellew has snapped back at Frank Warren’s claims that he is a Daniel Dubois ‘hater’.
The former cruiserweight world champion came under fire from Warren after he suggested that Dubois ‘quit’ against Oleksandr Usyk earlier this month.
Bellew went as far as to say that ‘the real Dubois doesn’t want to fight’ after he failed to beat the count in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium.
Warren furiously rebutted on talkSPORT last week: “Tony Bellew has been a hater with Daniel from day one.
“He’s the one when we made the fight against Anthony Joshua, that said that Daniel would go back to the hospital in an ambulance.
“It was an unsavoury thing to say, so what Tony Bellew says I don’t give a t**s about.”
Bellew then added further fuel to the fire by insisting that the Hall of Fame promoter isn’t in a position to weigh in on the discussion, as he has never stepped foot in the ring.
“I just want to correct before we go, I am not a hater of any fighter, I say what I see, and some people don’t like that,” Warren said during an appearance on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan on Tuesday morning.
“Frank is all well and good when I’m saying Nick Ball is the most exciting fighter in the country.
“Frank is all happy when I say Hamzah Sheeraz is going to defeat Edgar Berlanga when he isn’t odds on to win.
“But all of a sudden, when I call him out for what he has done, I’m a hater.
“When I have taken the punches I have taken, I can make those statements.

“I have been there, I have got the t-shirt. He knows because he was there when I climbed off the canvas twice against Ovill McKenzie after being splattered on my face.
“What did I do? I kept fighting. That’s what I do.”
Bellew’s Tyson swipe is in reference to an infamous altercation between Warren and ‘Iron Mike’ in a hotel room 25 years ago.
Tyson punched Warren in the face over an unpaid £2million jewellery bill ahead of his clash with Lou Saverese in Glasgow.
The punch burst a blood vessel in Warren’s eye, which was on full display when he attended the press conference on fight week.
