A man was arrested on suspicion of trying to kidnap a 15-year-old girl near Thornton Middle School on Monday, police officials said.
The girl was walking near the school, at 9451 Hoffman Way, around 11:20 a.m. when a man tried to grab her. She resisted and the man fled, the Thornton Police Department said in a news release.
Officers and detectives were able to identify the man and arrest him, the department said Tuesday.
