GASTONIA, N.C (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Gastonia man lost his life early Saturday morning in a homicide, the Gastonia Police Department reports.
Just before 3 a.m. on April 19, officers were called to a home on Hawkins Street. It is unclear what led up to the incident; however, police confirm that a resident of the home, 39-year-old Jeffrey Pleasant Carter, was killed in the incident.
Authorities have not said if anyone has been arrested, but they did say this is an open investigation.
