The SEC was especially dominant against the ACC and Big 12, as SEC teams went 30-4 and 14-2 against those respective conferences. The only conference that gave the SEC any issues this year was the B1G, as the SEC won only 10 of 19 matchups.
There has been a running joke the SEC was average after the media blew up a story the conference was only .500 since January 4, but that is also when the SEC schedule was rolling.
It is still to be seen if the conference is truly as good as it appears, but right now, there isn’t a conference in college basketball that is close.
