SACRAMENTO – A person has died after being hit by a Union Pacific train in the Rio Linda area over the weekend.
The scene was near W. Elkhorn Boulevard and E. Levee Road.
Union Pacific confirmed that the crash happened around 1 p.m. Sunday and that a fatality had occurred, but no other details about the incident were available.
No one on the train was hurt, Union Pacific says.
