A SHOPPER has cried out after grocery order complications with Walmart this month.
They blasted the retailer for the mishap, claiming they still haven’t gotten money back for food and drink items that never arrived.
“@walmarthelp I want you to know that my family and I are going to go hungry this weekend because of you,” the customer, Danielle, raged in a February 14 post on X.
Danielle explained that she had made an order for delivery, seemingly through Walmart’s Spark Driver service, where a staff member does the shopping for customers and drops it off at their homes.
However, the driver allegedly began but did not complete the trip, leaving the mother to pay for merchandise that never arrived.
“I had a delivery order that apparently the shopper decided to just not shop after starting it,” she wrote.
“And Walmart can only cancel my order which won’t go back on my card for days.”
Walmart quickly responded to Danielle’s complaint, noting that it would be investigating the situation immediately.
“Matters like this are very serious, and we’d like to know more, Danielle,” the retail giant replied.
“Could you please send a DM with more information?”
Danielle commented back that she’d “sent” the private message to Walmart, but it’s unclear if the incident was resolved.
It isn’t the first time Walmart has received heavy backlash for its delivery services this year.
NOT ALONE
A mishap in January left a Walmart Plus member threatening to cancel their subscription for good.
Walmart Plus costs $98 annually or $112.95 per month and offers a variety of perks to shoppers, including complimentary delivery on all groceries from their local Walmart store.
While the member, Kesh, had taken full advantage of the offering before, a trip last month left a $58.76 hold on her card after it was suddenly canceled without warning.
“@Walmart is nothing but liars and pretend cancel pre-orders from two months ago…” Kesh wrote in an X post.

Kesh added that she’d be “canceling” her membership, and went as far to call the retail giant “scum.”
PICKUP PAINS
Walmart also offers grocery pickup services, similar to many retailers, which have also seen some controversy.
For example, a customer claimed they waited over an hour and a half for a pickup order several weeks ago and that “teen” employees were forced to handle a considerable backlog of items.
Another said they were left in limbo for 25 minutes at their local Walmart before being told by staff that pickup services weren’t available, even though there was a sign designated for it.
A customer was also left fuming after an hour delay on a curbside pickup order, calling the service “the opposite of convenience.”
Walmart’s anti-theft security measure in some locations has also come under scrutiny, with some citing trips lasting “4 hours” because of it.
Some have even “walked out” after spotting the measure at their store, claiming it’s punishing shoppers.
