Dolby’s career has always blurred the lines between music and invention. Best known to mainstream audiences for his 1982 hit “She Blinded Me With Science,” he was also a sought-after collaborator and producer, working with artists including Foreigner, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, George Clinton, and David Bowie. He famously shared the stage with Bowie at Live Aid and later performed with Pink Floyd's Roger Waters at The Wall in Berlin.

The tour also builds on renewed interest in Dolby’s personal story. In recent years, he has reflected publicly on how he adopted his stage name after losing a bet early in his career, a moment that helped cement his identity just as the new wave era was taking shape.
