NCAA Tournament bracketology season is upon us. With only a few short weeks left until Selection Sunday, things are heating up around the country.
The SEC is absolutely the dominant league in men’s hoops this year, and that is being reflected in ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology.
In fact, in his Tuesday update, Lunardi has an incredible 13 teams in the field of 68 squads for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. That means the rest of the regular season and the SEC Tournament are going to be hugely important.
Check out Lunardi’s latest SEC-related projections below.
NCAA Tournament Bracketology: SEC teams in the 68-squad field
Here’s where Joe Lunardi of ESPN currently expects every SEC team to end up when it comes to March Madness:
No. 1 seed — Auburn (South) No. 1 seed — Alabama (Midwest) No. 1 seed — Tennessee (West) No. 2 seed — Florida (East) No. 2 seed — Texas A&M (West) No. 4 seed — Kentucky (East) No. 5 seed — Ole Miss (West) No. 7 seed — Mizzou (South) No. 7 seed — Mississippi State (Midwest) No. 10 seed — Oklahoma (West) No. 10 seed — Texas (East) No. 11 seed — Vanderbilt (Midwest) No. 11 seed — Georgia (South) First Four Out — ArkansasSince Arkansas is sitting there as the first team out in Lunardi’s projections, that’s 14 of 16 SEC teams with a legitimate shot at making the tournament. Only LSU and South Carolina weren’t mentioned.
And with 3 No. 1 seeds and 2 No. 2 seeds, the SEC could be on the verge of a historic showing on Selection Sunday.
There’s still a lot of basketball left to be played, though, so stay tuned down the stretch!
